Privacy policy

PestVision AI is the pest-inspection and pest-control management service of Efficacy Pest Control Services Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “us”). It is used by our staff and by our clients, through this website and through our Android and iPhone apps. This policy explains what information the service handles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It describes what the service actually does today.

Who the service is for

Accounts are created for you by us (for staff) or when you become our client. The apps do not let anyone sign up on their own, and they are not directed at children.

Information we handle

• Account information: your name, email address, phone number, role and permissions. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash. We also keep sign-in and session records and an audit log of actions taken in the service.
• Business records entered into the service: client names, phone numbers, email and WhatsApp numbers, property names and addresses, inspections, notes, findings, risk assessments, recommendations, work items, schedules, inventory, quotations, invoices, service agreements and reports.
• Photos, videos and audio that staff capture or attach as inspection evidence or voice notes, including frames taken from videos.
• Location: when a staff member records an inspection, the app can read the device’s precise location, only while the app is in use and only after you allow it, so the report can show where the inspection was captured. It is not tracked in the background.
• Technical information: IP address, device and app version, and request logs, used to keep the service secure and working.

Device permissions

The apps ask for the camera (to photograph and film evidence and to photograph a client logo), the microphone (audio with inspection videos and voice notes), location (while in use, for inspection location), photos (to attach existing photos or save captured ones) and notifications (upload and work updates). Each is optional and can be turned off in your device settings; features that need it then stop working.

How we use information

• To provide the service: inspections, reports, scheduling, work management, billing and client communication.
• To analyse inspection photos and video frames with an automated image-analysis service so that pests and risks can be identified. The images are sent to a third-party AI processing provider for that purpose only.
• To send reports, invoices and notifications by email or WhatsApp when a staff member chooses to send them.
• To secure the service, prevent misuse and keep an audit trail.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that run the service for us: our hosting provider (a virtual private server), the AI image-analysis provider described above, and email and WhatsApp messaging providers, the latter two only when a message is sent.
• Our clients and staff, according to their role: a client sees their own properties, inspections, reports and invoices; staff see the records their role allows.
• Authorities where the law requires it.

The apps contain no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs from third parties.

How we protect it

• All traffic between the apps, the website and our servers uses HTTPS.
• On phones, sign-in tokens are kept in the device’s secure storage (Android Keystore-backed storage, iOS Keychain).
• Access is limited by role, and the server checks permissions on every request.
• Passwords are hashed, repeated failed sign-ins lock the account temporarily, and sessions can be revoked.

No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect a problem with your account, tell us straight away.

How long we keep it

We keep records for as long as your account or our service relationship is active, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business, tax and safety records. Records that are no longer needed are deleted or anonymised.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. See Account and data deletion for how to make a request. You can also withdraw device permissions at any time in your phone’s settings.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell users in the service.
